“Mark’s presentation called “It’s Getting Cloudy in IT Service Management” explored the challenges faced by ITIL and other best practice frameworks in dealing with the new world of cloud computing.
Mark brought his usual insight and humour to this topic and kept his audience enthralled with his unique take on this subject matter. Mark seamlessly mixes his own knowledge, industry best practice with a light presentation style which never fails to engage.”
“Thank you for getting me to understand that the IT world today is different than earlier. The latter part of the presentation gave a lot to think about. Especially the slides with agile, Prince, COBIT and ITIL etc.”
“Great presentation, interesting topic and very well presented. Definitely makes me rethink our IT model in our organization and change culture at large. Great examples and valuable info. 4.5 out for 5 for presentation and 5 for Mark.”
“One of the stand-out sessions of the conference was Mark ’s keynote. An excellent speaker, Mark provided clarity, humour and the right perspective on subject that can all too easily become hazy and nebulous”
“Mark, we were very pleased with the IT audit work you carried out recently for CACI Non-Life Limited. The audit was well planned and very well executed while respecting pre-agreed deadlines and budget.
The outputs were well structured and we have a very useful toolkit with which to move forward.”
“Excellent presentation. Mark made it clear that we need to change our thinking patterns totally to make the cloud and digital transformation to work. You build very nicely bridge of history and modern challenges.”
“Thank you, Mark!
Wonderful talk on the cloud and I would like to discuss with you further how ITSM can be used to help manage what occurs going further in terms of value to the business.”
“Mark, I particularly enjoyed the ideas around the new engagement model that is required with external suppliers in a Cloud environment, i.e. the heightened focus on business/commercial issues versus just IT.”
“As the program director of conferences, I have had the pleasure of having Mark speak and deliver his service catalogue workshop at our conference. Personally, I can only agree with the attendees.
The workshop was very relevant, useful, exciting and practical. The humoristic approach kept the attendees concentrated, awake and focused during the entire workshop.
The variation between theory and assignments was perfect and had the attendees try themselves how challenging it is to use theory in real life situations. Mark received the highest score among the speakers.
Here are the testimonials from the attendees of the conference in Copenhagen.
- Super entertaining and beautifully presented
- Very good and relevant. Thank you

The variation between theory and assignments was perfect and had the attendees try themselves how challenging it is to use theory in real life situations. Mark received a score of 4.6 out of 5 from the delegates, the highest among the speakers.
I can only give Mark my best recommendations, and I would with no hesitation call him again for another conference.”
“I had the pleasure of chairing a session Mark ran at the itSMF UK conference. Over the years I have seen many presentations purporting to demystify cloud operations, but Mark’s was the first to really deliver.
His explanations were clear, his examples were credible and his suggestions both practical and pragmatic. He easily engaged the audience and although representing a company selling cloud solutions, he never came across as selling anything other than his obvious passion for the subject”
“I hired Mark to work with me on a Service Catalogue project for a major client. Mark’s professionalism and “going the extra mile” started with the bid and continued through the project to completion.
Mark has a deep and practical understanding of IT Service Management. He was brilliant at establishing trusting relationships with our senior client personnel.
The project output was very well received by the client and we got a note of thanks from the sponsor.”
“Thanks for the last few days, the course was excellent. After Monday I wasn’t sure the info was actually going in, but at the end of the day we all passed the exam and understand what ITIL is all about!”
“Thanks Mark, really though the course was excellent and content was extremely useful in my day-to-day role. Also was expertly delivered with enthusiasm and real-life examples. None of us could have passed without the great training you gave us. Thanks so much!”
Thank you, Mark. On a personal note, I thoroughly enjoyed the course and how you presented it. ’m really pleased and relieved at the same time! After the course I now have a strong interest in Service Delivery, it was good training. The last PRINCE training I received was so boring unlike your course.
“There were no clouds to be seen in Toronto when Mark presented at itSMF Canada’s annual event! Mark provided just the right amount of balanced insight and relevance into how cloud is changing the role of IT in the delivery of services, and how it affects our relationship with our suppliers and the business.
Judging by the terrific audience engagement during the Q & A period, Mark clearly hit a few key cloudy points of interest – the importance of understanding up front the value of cloud for the business; the costs associated with increased business demand over time; the new challenges of end-to-end SLAs and change management in a cloud model; and the changing roles within IT – less control and more focus on being a strategic ‘broker’ between the business and external service providers.”
“I had the pleasure of attending Mark’s keynote regarding The Service Catalog at an ITIL Conference in Copenhagen.
Being in a position where I was about to justify the investment in making a Service Catalog, for the board of directors (4000+ employees) I found it as an eye opener.
Seeing the catalog as much more than a simple tool of showing what my company has on the shelves, I now find myself in a much better position in showing what an active role the service catalog can play, both towards our customers as well as building efficient and effective delivery processes.”
“Many thanks for your instruction, enthusiasm and knowledge of the subject, it made all the difference.
Truly enjoyed the training last week. Your enthusiasm and knowledge made all the difference.
I wanted to say thank you again for the superb way you provided the training and prepared the team for the exam. Thank you for the additional shared materials and the whole course.”
“I had the great pleasure to have worked alongside Mark in my previous role and to say it was an experience is an understatement. Mark is a true professional and I have never encountered an individual who can make learning about new processes and procedures so interesting and pleasurable.
I sat in on many of Marks workshops around the cloud and ITIL space and every single person in the room was sitting hanging on Mark’s every word.
He delivers immense amounts of relevant detail but in such a way that you actually enjoy it and you find yourself getting engaged in conversation, his delivery is professional, precise, and sharp whilst at the same time fun.
It was an absolute pleasure to have worked with Mark and hopefully our paths shall cross again in the very near future. I would highly recommend Mark to any potential client who is looking to implement new processes or revamp current.”
What a fantastic digital and cloud course for a number of reasons.
Firstly, the delivery of Cloud Service Management was practical and comprehensive enough to make a real and immediate difference on return to the office. It is not often you can see a real difference your learning can have in such a short space of time.
Secondly, the delivery of the course was expertly executed, ensuring a real understanding of the core objectives of each attendee and then tailoring both the learning and practical discussions to suit was a real positive. This was of course in parallel to the offering of in depth and industry leading knowledge around Cloud Service Management today.
Lastly, this course was also a great refresher for Service Management professionals as many of the fundamentals still apply…. An added bonus! A course that has already been recommended to peers and teams.
