My latest blog for AXELOS is now available. Cloud-based IT services have created a massive change in the traditional model, but I still see many organisations and IT functions not realising this, and not dealing with this fundamental change.
I was great to meet and have a chat with Natasha Gillies recently on her fantastic Irish Business Show. We covered a variety of topics from business to IT to open plan offices.
Oh … if you listen in you will also hear how to increase your IT budgets by 15% or more with one little
trick approach! Well worth the listen for that.
I has the opportunity to play a form of ‘undercover boss’ at last weeks itSMF Ireland conference in Dublin. It worked so well, I’m taking it on the road with the upcoming Cloud Credential Council travels.
I will post a bit more on this shortly as it ties in with a key tenant of our recent Global Digital Skills Survey 2019.
A big thank you to Natasha Gillies for inviting me to be a guest on The Irish Business Show this morning on 103.2 Dublin City FM
We covered so much ground looking at the effects of digital and cloud on businesses and employees and findings from the Cloud Credential Council 2019 Global Digital Skills Survey.
We covered so much so a blog will follow shortly. Will post the podcast as well. It is very interesting what is happening. Have a listen. See what you think.
Organisations are continuing to move more and more of their IT services into the cloud, shifting various elements of their back-end IT infrastructure, systems, applications and IT services.
In simplistic terms, cloud computing and cloud-based services are just another form of outsourcing with a shift in the current IT supply chain model.
With the increase in outsourcing to the cloud, is it likely that organisations will wake up one day and ask the question – Hey, Where Has All Our IT Gone? … and what does that mean for IT professionals?
Join us for an informative session where this question will be addressed. Mark will explore the disruptive nature of cloud computing and outline what this means for those involved in running IT services today.
Mark will also provide three critical findings and insights from the 2019 Digital Skills Survey from the Cloud Credential Council (CCC) which is being released in September 2019.
In addition, at the end of the session, delegates will be shown how to access a free, simple and effective readiness assessment from the CCC in conjunction with the Innovation Value Institute (IVI).
See you there.
