Be Prepared… the meaning of the motto is that a scout must prepare himself by previous thinking out and practising how to act on any accident or emergency so that he is never taken by surprise – Robert Baden-Powell.
You never know what little surprise awaits you just around the corner. So we should all be … Well prepared.
A curious email arrived late last week from the Dutch chapter of the itSMF. It was a last minute request to travel to Holland to speak about, of all subjects, the service catalog. So, a few days later after booking last minute (and expensive flights), preparing the presentation, finalising the logistics and ensuring that a box of books will be available for signing on the day, this little scout is now well prepared. I am looking forward to speaking again in Holland.
